I started in this field before I was of working age. I have volunteered with the Special Olympics of Oregon since the early 2000s. Then while working towards a degree in psychology, I was an intern at Nearby Nature. There I learned the immense power that an afternoon in nature can have on our youth and I strive to incorporate it into my work every chance I get. Over the past 4 years, I have been a behavior therapist in the field of applied behavior analysis assisting with assessments and plan development. I have supported clients in-home, in the community, at school, and in the clinic. I provide a relationship-based, compassion-oriented approach that is tailored to the needs of each individual. My goal is to understand the root of the behavior, connect with the individual, and find an approach that is supportive and achievable for all involved.
